The Service to America Medals, 或萨米, are a highly respected honor whose recipients are chosen through a rigorous selection process led by a panel of leaders in academia, 业务, 慈善事业, 政府, media 和 entertainment.
Named for the Partnership for Public Service’s late founder, 塞缪尔·J. 海曼, who was inspired by President Kennedy’s call to serve, these awards recognize federal employees who defend the homel和, protect the environment, 探索宇宙, 确保公共安全, make scientific 和 medical discoveries, respond to natural disasters 和 more.
